Hello hello. I have been MIA for a few weeks. Holidays. Ice Storms. I’m a new Auntie!! My sister had a gorgeous little baby girl just in time to ring in the New Year!
So, here I am. Sort of. I’m officially not back until Monday, but I thought I’d keep the vacation spirit alive with this lovely little cottage somewhere deep in Sweden. (I think).
So simple. The black clapboard is fantastic, so are the windows. Oh, and the sauna with a view.
The only other thing that I really want to know is what it’s like to live with white floors. Anyone??
Architect Johannes Norlander did a complete renovation of this summer house on an island outside Gothenburg in Sweden.
The exterior is clad in tar coated plywood – I’ve seen the look before but never knew the material. The inside is pine.
I love the contrast of the black exterior to raw wood feel on the inside.
