House Tour: Julianne Moore’s West Village Townhouse

Little did I know that the kitchen I featured the other day by MADE is that of actor Julianne Moore – or at least I believe she used to live in this home. I think it’s since been sold. Regardless – I thought I’d share some other photos from this lovely 5 story West Village Townhouse. Yes, 5 stories!

I love that this home isn’t totally decked out- it feels livable (well beyond livable!) with a good dose of personal touch. Amazing lighting fixtures by Paavo Tynell, David Weeks Studio and others certainly doesn’t hurt. Check out Wyeth for similar options. As for the townhouse, you can take a peek here:

Kitchens: Make it Dark

Wouldn’t you know it, now that we’ve decided on our white kitchen, I’m finding all of these fabulous spaces with black and dark wood cabinets. I guess I’ll just have to file these ideas for my next home!

Below: Architects Roman and Williams designed the Standard Hotel and ACE hotels in New York and this amazing kitchen below. Their work has such a distinct look – it’s relaxed, edgy, and just all around fabulous.

Below: I’m in love with these dark wood kitchens by Danish company Koch Kokken. I can’t understand a word on their website, but I lost myself scrolling through their amazing designs. Likewise for kitchens by Kobenhavns MobelSnedkeri. I’ll have to do a separate posting on them, since there’s too much good stuff not to share.

Below: Kitchen by Brooklyn based MADE LLC. This firm also has an amazing profile of work.
