Okay, this is the last of the rug placement posts. Promise:) But just like hallways, kitchens are often forgotten about when it comes to rugs. But, look what a nice addition a good rug can make in this space?
Marie Claire Maison recently featured the home of interior designer, Sarah Lavoine. I love the overall feel of her home. No surprise that I’m into the grey walls. But I also love the kitchen – I normally like a bit of a cleaner space, but in this kitchen I particularly love that all the utensils are on display. It feels like a real working space. Beautiful.
I featured a photo from Danish company Kobenhavns Mobelsnedkeri in my last posting on kitchens, but that wasn’t nearly enough. You must check out their entire line of products. Their kitchens, hardware, furniture and fixtures are all incredible.
Wouldn’t you know it, now that we’ve decided on our white kitchen, I’m finding all of these fabulous spaces with black and dark wood cabinets. I guess I’ll just have to file these ideas for my next home!
Below: Architects Roman and Williams designed the Standard Hotel and ACE hotels in New York and this amazing kitchen below. Their work has such a distinct look – it’s relaxed, edgy, and just all around fabulous.
Below: I’m in love with these dark wood kitchens by Danish company Koch Kokken. I can’t understand a word on their website, but I lost myself scrolling through their amazing designs. Likewise for kitchens by Kobenhavns MobelSnedkeri. I’ll have to do a separate posting on them, since there’s too much good stuff not to share.
