Hanging Fireplaces
Mar 7 2012One of the other details I couldn’t help but notice in my last post was the hanging fireplace in the living room.
So great. I’m not sure what the story is with these in terms of installation. All that I know is when building our place, everyone warned against traditional fireplaces in terms of heat loss. There are even places /cities I know of that have restricted traditional fireplaces from being installed in new builds.
Anyone know the story with hanging fireplaces? They look like they might offer the best of both worlds.

Feb 6 2012I thought I’d kick off the work week with an over the top posting. I’m sort of torn about this one, actually. I wanted to share these shots, but also can’t believe that this is how some people live. What do you think? Too much? Done right? Take it? Leave it? Let me know.
